With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Karen Kay Nichols (Hamilton, Illinois), born in Keokuk, Iowa, who passed away on April 17, 2020 at the age of 73. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Schneider and Jessie Schneider; and her siblings, Alice Miller, Gloria Ruffcorn, Lana Lee and Arthur "AJ" Schneider.
She is survived by: her children, Mike Boyd (Alice) of Keokuk, Brent Boyd of Quincy, Keith Boyd (Jill) of Denver, CO and Krystal Boyd of Cedar Rapids; her grandchildren, Zachary Garcia (Steven Boyd), Kasondra (Hannah Boyd), Madison (Kellen Boyd) and Elena Raldiris (Isaac Boyd); her great grandchildren, Selena, Sophia, Romero Garcia and Finley Bryson; and her siblings, John "Jack" Schneider (Diane) of Springfield, MO, George "Red" Schneider (Charlotte) of Argyle, IA, Steve Schneider (Cindy) of Argyle, Janet Hoppe (Larry) of Hamilton and Dixie VanZile (Richard) of Hamilton.
Due to the current COVID-19 situation and the restriction for public gatherings, a Celebration of Karen's life will be held at a later date.
