He was predeceased by: his parents, Lowell Albert and Geraldine "Jady" Metternich (Brady); and his brother-in-law Russell Arms. He is survived by: his wife Susan Diane Quackenbush; his children, Molly Bowman (Marc) of Hamilton and Matt Metternich of Hamilton; his grandchildren, Brayden and Bentley Bowman of Hamilton; his sisters, Mary Lynne Arms of Hamilton and Janet Richardson (Don) of Manhasset; his nieces and nephews, Katherine Richardson (Charles Chigounis), Emily Tesio, Sarah Richardson, Brandon (Justina) and Ryan Strausbaugh (Mariah); his cousins, Colleen Puscas, Diane Flynn and Donna Sternaman; his brother Kim; his sister-in-law Ann Kunde; and his mother-in-law Marjorie Quackenbush. He is also survived by other cousins and family members.
