He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil Owen and Audie Mabel Kirby (Jacobs); his wife Shirley I. Kirby; his daughter Debra Thurman Byrn; and his siblings, Laurence, Everett, David, Leona Fairley and Doris Fredrickson.
He is survived by: his children, Twyla Stephens (Craig) of Warsaw, Illinois, Jayna McMillen (Michael) of Warsaw, Illinois and Scott Kirby (Laurie) of Wichita, Kansas; his brother Owen Kirby of Savoy, Illinois; and his sisters-in-law, Faye Kirby of Paxton and Barbara Kirby of Plymouth. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren.
