She was predeceased by: her parents, Perry Kunkel and Bernice Kelly Kunkel; her son Darin Custer; her grandson Dane Custer; and her niece Rita Horton.

She is survived by: her husband Delbert Custer; her son Danny Custer (Kristi) of Hamilton, IL; her grandson Drake Custer (Ashley) of Keokuk; her great grandchildren, Drayton and Dominic; and her sister Dixie Washburn of Hamilton.
