It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Elwyn Gerald Pare of Granite City, Illinois, who passed away on February 25, 2025, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Pare and Reta Pare (Davis); his wife Lorene Emaline Davis (Casey); his daughter-in-law Julia Pare; his granddaughter Rebecca Ann Pare; and his sisters, Beatrice Jackson and Virginia Lenz.
He is survived by: his sons, Alan (Mary Kay Pare) and Darrell (Stephanie Pare); his grandchildren, Philip Pare (Crystal), Tyler Pare, Courtney Ward (Jon), Patrick Pare, Elizabeth Brown (Dustan), Harrison Holt (Amanda) and John Owen Holt (Alyssa Ammons); his great grandchildren, Logan Pare, Abigail Ward, Holly Brown, Reagan Holt, Owen Holt, Kendal Holt and Adeline Holt; and his sister Eleanor Lewis. He is also survived by nieces and nephews; other extended family.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 6th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, March 7th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Grace Baptist Church (2600 Edwards St, Granite City, IL 62040).
