He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Cox and Virgie Cox (Coates); his son Ray Cox; his grandson Joseph Vinyard; and his siblings, Betty Mott, Jenny McCollum, Don, Jack, Denny, Bob and Darrell Cox.
He is survived by: his pet Rocky; his wife Hope Cox (Moran); his children, Karla Garcia (Lloyd) of Sugar Grove, IL, Robin Zobrist (Fred) of Bethalto, IL and Dr. Ricky Cox (Stacy) of Alton, IL.; his grandchildren, Skylar, Sydney, Seth, Spencer, Sophia Cox of Alton, Erin, Evan Zobrist of Bethalto and Stephanie King (Chris) of Kirkland, WA; his siblings, Shirley Kirchner (Jim), Connie Mcdade, Bill Cox (Joan) and Jerry Cox (Sharon); and his sisters-in-law, Sharon and Ruth Cox. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and close friends.
