Sonya Jeanne Adkerson Obituary

We are sad to announce that on February 7, 2023, at the age of 84, Sonya Jeanne Adkerson of Glen Carbon, Illinois passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Sonya Jeanne Adkerson to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Gordon Abernathie and Jessie Abernathie (Seabaugh); and her sister Jan Fletcher (Bill). She is survived by: her husband Edwin Dwayne Adkerson; her daughter Donya Adkerson (George Ferguson); her grandchildren, Tiana Berry-Jones (Todd Jones) and Tommy Ferguson; her great grandchild Luca Jones; and her brother Gordon "Butch" Abernathie (Carmen). She is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews.

Memorials are suggested to the Alzheimer's Association and may be accepted at the funeral chapel.
