He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Rogier and Marie Rogier (Dawson); his brothers, Robert Rogier and Floyd Rogier; his son Richard Rogier, Jr.; and his stepdaughters, Jerlyn Gilmore and Jill Schmidt.
He is survived by: his brother Joe Ottwein; his spouse Jean Schmidt; his children, Rene Robinette (Kent) of Bethalto, IL and Rhonda Fohne (Norman) of Troy, IL; his daughter-in-law Karen Rogier of Maryville, IL; his grandchildren, Kyle Rogier, Monica Rhodes, Zachary Robinette, Erin Bothwell, Stephen Fohne and Laura Fohne; his sister-in-law Eunice Rogier; and his stepchildren, Jim Schmidt (Christine), Jenny Khan and Jan Schlueter (Vince). He is also survived by thirteen step-grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
