It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Nancy K. Ward of Glen Carbon, Illinois, born in Granite City, Illinois, who passed away on January 8, 2022, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Wesley Payne and Iona Payne. She is survived by: her children, Virgel Ward (Pam) of Collinsville, IL, Dawn Dawley (Jim) of Caseyville, IL, Keith Ward (Jill) of Collinsville, IL and Jaime Frey (Brian) of Caseyville, IL; her grandchildren, Christopher Ward (Anna), Lucas Ward, Carly Valenzuela (Alonso), Jeremy Dawley, Sarah Hoppes (Spencer), Eric Dawley (Savannah), Zach Ward, Zoey Ward, Gene Tomlin (Elizabeth), Dennis Culler and Malory Frey; her great grandchildren, Easton Ward, Brody Ward, Alexander Trudo, Hudson Hoppes, Eloise Hoppes and Olivia Tomlin; her sisters, Rayola Hopkins, Jean Ames, Dixie Peavler (Lee), Linda Simon (Mark) and Judy Cullen; and her nieces and nephews, Lisa Rice (Jeff), Lee Sloan (Jennifer) and Rich Plantz (Tina).
