We are sad to announce that on September 16, 2022, at the age of 104, Melvin William Meierant of Glen Carbon, Illinois, born in Quincy, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Meierant and Selma Meierant (Haganha); and his sister Evelyn Proctor. He is survived by: his children, Thomas Meierant (Patricia "Patty") of Ellisville, Missouri and Barbara J. Barthi (Steven) of Edwardsville; his grandchildren, Lacey Jo Anderson (William), Kayle Barthi, Jonathan Meierant and Christopher Meierant (Stephanie); his great grandchildren, Landon, Jordan Meierant, Amelia Jo Anderson and Aberdeen Louise Anderson; and his niece Susan Stone (Pete).

Memorials may be given to Trinity Lutheran Church or the Disabled American Veterans (DAV).
