He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Griffin and Luettia Wheeler Griffin; and his siblings, Bonnie Ruth Clifton, Fred, Leon, William, Frank and Roy Griffin.
He is survived by: his spouse LaVerne Ziegler; his children, Marsha Reiff (David) of Belleville, Tina Ficker (Richard) of Edwardsville and Rae Lee Griffin of Cartersville; his grandchildren, Amy Elston, Brooke Harvey (Josh) and Blakely Reiff; and his siblings, Joyce Eales (John) of Moro, Lucy Kleuter of Brownsville, Texas and Dale Griffin of Madison. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
