He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin Adkerson and Velma Adkerson (Long); and his brother Jimmy Adkerson. He is survived by: his daughter Donya Adkerson (George Ferguson); his grandchildren, Tiana Berry-Jones (Todd Jones) and Tommy Ferguson; his great grandchild Luca Jones; his daughter Teresa Dick; and his grandchildren, Amy Hyde, Amber Jones (Heath) and Aaron Hyde (Shea). He is also survived by four great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.
Memorials are suggested to the Alzheimer's Association or American Diabetes Association.
