It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donald Gene Loucks of Glen Carbon, Illinois, who passed away on June 20, 2023, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Luther Faye and Thelma Letha Loucks (Waller); his siblings, Leslie, Daphne, Verna, Lois and Joan; his wife Hazel Elizabeth Haun; his sister Linda Etherton (Jack); his children, Mark Loucks (Caroline Santos Batista), Leesa Zick (Stephen) and Steve Loucks (Debbie Maneke); his grandchildren, Ben Lewis (Teya), Danny Loucks (Ashley Koch), Hope Schissel (Todd), Brittney Loucks (Brock Larson), Kayla Loucks, Alex Loucks (Kyla), Kody Zick, Kolt Zick (Ashley) and Asher Kinnard (Jacob); and his great grandchildren, Nate, Trevor, Emmett, Stevie, Evelynn, Olivia, Liv and Harrison. He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the St. John's United Methodist Church Choir or the Southern Illinois University Edwardsville Foundation Dr. Donald Loucks Music Education Scholarship Endowment.
