It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of William Schaefle (Geneva, Illinois), born in Oak Park, Illinois, who passed away on May 18, 2021, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John and Lucile (Sanders); his sisters, Mary Blackwell and Lucile Joan Schaefle; his son John "Jack"; and his great grandchild Penelope Jane Schaefle.

He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth "Betty" (Major); his children, Stephen (Fran) of Hawaii, Peter (Lora) of North Carolina and Elizabeth Schaefle Malone of North Carolina; his stepsons, Michael Erath (Joy) of Wisconsin and Kevin Erath, Jr. of Kentucky; his brother-in-law Thomas Blackwell; his nephew Tom Blackwell; and his niece Susan Blackwell. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren; and many friends.
