He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Lloyd M. Crom and Alice Crom (Froning); his wife Lucille Ritter (Lucy) of Reasnor, Iowa.; his children, Penny Crom (Chris Mroz) of Grand Junction, Colorado, Linda Kearney (William) of St Charles, Illinois and Dr. Randall (Crom); his grandchildren, Alisa Heitman (Mike) of LaGrange, Scott Kearney (Kaitlin) of Naperville, Nick Kearney (Laura) of Chicago, Hilary Shaw (Quint) of Firestone and Max Mroz; his son Richard (Rick); and his brother H. David Crom. He was also cherished by five great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Iowa 4-H Foundation, designated for the Robert and Lucy Ritter Crom 4-H Volunteer Endowment Fund, at the Extension 4-H Youth Building, 1259 Stange Road, Iowa State University, Ames, Iowa 50011-3630.
