He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph S. Haneghan and Hazel Haneghan (Miller); and his siblings, Leo Haneghan, Dorothy Haneghan, Joseph Haneghan, Jr., Alice Estrada, Robert Haneghan, Leon Haneghan, Steve Haneghan, Gloria Milan, William Haneghan and Jim Haneghan.
He is survived by: his wife Glenda C. Downard; his children, Colleen Jacobs (Todd) of Dixon, Gerald Haneghan, Jr. of Galesburg, Tracey Bice (Mike) of Galesburg, John Haneghan of Galesburg, Brian Haneghan (Angie) of East Peoria and Michael Haneghan of Galesburg; and his siblings, Carl Haneghan of Galesburg and Jane Wessels of Galesburg. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
