We are sad to announce that on September 13, 2023, at the age of 86, Betty M. Dawson of Galesburg, Illinois, born in Abingdon, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Tecumseh Guy and Maggie Bean (Gates); her husband Howard Lee "Butch" Dawson; and her siblings, Robert Bean, Glenn Bean, Clarence Bean, Vernon Bean, Donald Bean, Joyce Bean and Helen Johnson.
She is survived by: her daughters, Kimberly Jensen (Richard) of Galesburg and Mary Main of Oneida; her stepchildren, Steven Dawson (Debbie) of Pearland and Rhonda O'Dell (Steve) of Hampshire; and her sisters, Barbara LaFollette (Robert) of Galesburg and Wanda Parrish (Jim) of Ohio. She is also survived by four grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or the Knox County Humane Society.
