With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Margaret Auman of Freeport, Illinois, who passed away on August 21, 2023 at the age of 100. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, George Backenkeller and Lilly Backenkeller (Meyer); her son Gary; her daughter-in-law Eileen Auman; and her brothers, John and Richard Backenkeller.
She is survived by: her daughter Ginger Rowe (Dale); her grandchildren, Cindy Bessert (Greg), Tim Auman (Margie), Nick Rowe (Kym) and Dan Rowe (Jennie); and her great grandchildren, Josh, Amanda, Brittany, Brandon, Justus, Morgan, Marley and Jordan. She is also survived by 8 great-great-grandchildren.
