He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Byers and Wilma Byers (Horner); and his brother Sam Byers. He is survived by: his wife Sandy Byers of Flora; his son Brett Byers of Flora; his niece Stormie Hartsey of Olney; his siblings, Delane Byers, Cleon Byers (Dollie), Bob Byers (Brenda) and Phyllis Allison (James); his mother-in-law Betty Hartsey; and his siblings-in-law, Nancy Byers and Steve Hartsey (Linda). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
