It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Lois Marie Smith of Flora, Illinois, born in Mattoon, Illinois, who passed away on February 15, 2023, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Alfred Holeman and Nina Mary Holeman (Barnes); her sisters, Juanita Stanley, Carole Spencer and Dorothy Tolliver; her brother-in-law John Tolliver; her niece Beverly Griffy; her nephew Tom Griffy; and her daughter-in-law Thelma Smith.
She is survived by: her children, Dee Ann McGehee (Andy) of Flora and Gary Smith of Olney; her granddaughters, Laura Bricker of Clay City and Julie Atwood of Clay City; and her stepgrandchildren, A. J. McGehee of Flora and Cody McGehee of St. Petersburg, Florida. She is also survived by 5 great grandchildren; 1 great great granddaughter.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Lois's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
