He is survived by: his son Derek Mitchel of Olney; his grandchildren, Tristan Mitchel of Olney, Ian Davis of Clay City and Roreigh Mitchel of Olney; his sisters, Cathy Sledge Kieta of Indianapolis and Julie Acree (Kent) of Flora; his father John Conner (Mary Ann) of Flora; his stepsiblings, Donnie Sledge, Kevin Brown (Deanna) and Vicky Evans; his cousins, Pam Williams and Brenda Rinehart; and his friend Richard Bassett. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
