It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Brenda DiSandro of Flora, Illinois, born in Champaign, Illinois, who passed away on February 25, 2022, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Lloyd George and Velma June Schoonover (Cooper); her former husband Benjamin W. Phillips; her husband Nicholas Keith DiSandro; her brothers, Dale and John Schoonover; and her sister-in-law Renee Schoonover.
She is survived by: her children, Mike Griffin (Marki) of Port Orchard, WA, Angela McKnight (Rob) of Flora and Robbie Murphy Flora (Betty); her stepson Norman DiSandro (Shannon) of Lubbock, TX; her grandchildren, Heather Wasserman (Andy), Amber Cummins (Anthony), Ryan Griffin, Trevor Murphy (Tori), Cierra Griffin (Brody), Dakota Murphy (Cameron), Cassandra Williamson and Jon Murphy; her great grandchildren, Chase, Blake, Emmitt, Cassidy and Izaya; her brothers, Gene Schoonover of Fisher, Fred Schoonover (Debbie) of Seymore and Curtis Schoonover of Louisville; and her close friend Mike Griffin. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Memorial donations are suggested to Clay County Hospice, Clay County Cancer Crusaders, or Fur a Good Paws and will be accepted through the funeral home.
