It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Neil Hornickel (Fairbury, Illinois), who passed away on June 8, 2019, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his brother Harold Hornickel; and his grandson Conrad Shafer. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Ferguson; his children, Cindy Henrichs (Keith) of Dix, Vicki Haag (Darrell) of Kankakee, Lori Shafer of Chatsworth, Rich Hornickel (Colleen) of Fairbury and Tami Pitzer (Don) of Danville; his grandchildren, Melinda Hayward (Ethan), Janelle Martin (Josh), Garrett Henrichs (Jessica), Ryan Haag (Shannon), Renee Sadowski (Justin), Aaron Haag (Christina), Zach Shafer (Jess), Gabe Shafer, Alyx Shafer (Spencer Hurley), Rendi Cottrell (Cory), Josh Netherton, Jordan Hornickel, Justin Hornickel, Hannah Pitzer and Noah Pitzer; and his siblings, Maxine Zorn of Fairbury and Dale Hornickel of River Grove. He is also survived by 19 great-grandchildren.
