She was predeceased by: her husband Ike; her daughter-in-law Janet Norman; her siblings, Grace Strating, Catherine Dykstra, Jeannette Balk, Fred Venhuizen and Jacob Venhuizen; and her stepsiblings, Jeanette Wilkens, Dena Wilkens, Gerald Klooster and Harold Klooster.
She is survived by: her children, Sandra "Sam" DenBesten of LeClaire, IA, Illene Eggers (Stan) of Clinton, IA and Ron Norman of Erie, IL; her brother Francis Venhuizen of Morrison, IL; and her stepsisters, Gertrude VanZuiden of Clinton, IA and Alberta Brondyke of Clinton, IA.. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; many step grand and great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to Newton Zion Reformed Church or Genesis Hospice.
