He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde E. and Elva Byers (Carlson); his wife Anna Mae; and his siblings, Dorothy Schroeder, Dale Byers, Eugene Byers and Quintin Portugue.
He is survived by: his children, Betty Byers, Don Byers (Janet), John Byers and LeRoy Byers (Lauren); his grandchildren, Angie, Steven, Michelle, Stephanie, Donny, Heather, Raymond and Natalia; and his sister Ruth Byers.
