It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Madonna Catherine Sloan (Elmhurst, Illinois), born in Chicago, Illinois, who passed away on October 12, 2023, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, James "Cy" Sloan and Lucille Sloan (Ungerecht); and her siblings, Mike, Jim and Kate.
She is survived by: her sisters, Maureen and Virginia; her siblings-in-law, George Jones and Joy Sloan; her nieces and nephews, April Gehre (Andreas), Nicole Burns, Stephanie Cousineau, Brian Sloan (Gina), Dan Sloan (Alisa) and Ken Cousineau; her great-nieces and great-nephews, Tyler Green, Henry Gehre, Calvin, Frankie Burns and Greyson Sloan; and her cousins, Marianne Boyle, Theresa Kessler, Cindy and Kurt Bennett.
In lieu of flowers, the family humbly requests that contributions be made to the Faith & Fellowship ministry at St. Catherine-St. Lucy or Sister House, a women's rehab organization with a location housed on the St. Catherine-St. Lucy campus. Checks can be made payable to St. Catherine-St. Lucy with a note as to which program the funds are intended for.
