He was predeceased by: his wife Mary P. Semrau; his parents, Paul Semrau and Eleanor Semrau; his sisters, Y'Vette Plautz and Carol Broker; his brother-in-law Walter Plautz; and his son-in-law Jorge Rodriguez.

He is survived by: his children, Katherine Wilk (Charles), Connie Mulhern (Patrick), James Semrau and Robert Semrau; and his grandchildren, Elizabeth Wilk, Gregory Wilk, Tim Mulhern, Erin Mulhern, John Semrau and Emily Semrau.
