He is survived by: his children, Denise "Aunt Dee" Peterson of St. Charles, MO, Janice Kay Phelps (Tim) of Delaware, OH, Stephanie Peterson-Grauerholz (Dan) of Des Moines, IA and Rob Peterson (Kim) of New Douglas, IL; his grandchildren, Hannah (Jacob), Amelia (Jason), Olivia (Nate), Crisanda, Jacob, Shaun, Mya, Jaeonna, Stella, Lillyanna, Charleeanna, Eli, Megan, Paige, Abbie and Chloee; his great grandchildren, Bryant, Logan and Issac; and his brother Donald Peterson of St. Louis, MO..

Memorials may be made to the Christian Activity Center of East St. Louis or the Fairmont City Christian Activity Center and will be accepted at the funeral home.
