He was predeceased by: his parents, Otto Nemnich and Anna Nemnich (Eickmann); his former wife Hortense Schmidt; his wife Florence Highlander (Suhre); his sister Carmen Becknel; and his son-in-law Charles Fruit.
He is survived by: his children, Sharon Fruit of Edwardsville and Bruce Nemnich Walker (Frances) of Boston, MA; and his stepchildren, Kenneth Highlander (Jenna) of Edwardsville and Faye Coffman (Charles) of Edwardsville. He is also survived by two granddaughters; three step granddaughters; and five step great grandchildren.
