It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty Marie Rea of Edwardsville, Illinois, who passed away on November 10, 2023, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Rozum and Marie Rozum (Baca); her husband C. L. Rea; her son Billy Rea; her daughter-in-law Cheryl Rea; and her siblings, Bob Rozum, Bud Rozum, Verna Guadagano, Shirley Mueller and Delores Snow.
She is survived by: her children, Sheila Roider (Leland), Terry Rea (Trina) and Roby Rea; her grandchildren, Shelley Culpepper (Shelby Sr), TJ Rea, Tory Rea, Stacey Cawvey (Larry), Kadine Long (Brian), Nick Rea (Jessie), Tammy Waligorski (Jason) and Lee Roider (Talisha); her great grandchildren, Shelby Jr., Kirk, Dylan, Brittany, Brendan, Skyler, Roby (Annabelle), Savanna, Kaylee, Ty, Ethan, Samantha, Kolin, Taylor, Mackenzie, Sampson and Rosalie; her great great grandchildren, Briella, Brianna and Brealynn; her sisters, Mary Jo Crews and Jeannie Douglas; and her close friend John Tidwell. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
