It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rodger Merville Christensen (Eddyville, Illinois), who passed away on May 3, 2021, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father Merville; his grandmother Julia; his uncle James; his aunt Jean Small; his wife Donna; his sister Carol Jean Christensen; and his siblings-in-law, Linda Christensen, Jane Bell, Margaret Hall, Shirley Tyree, Rosemary Waldron, Wayne Hall, Alvin Waldron, William Tyree and Blaine Tyree.
He is survived by: his children, Christina Eddington (Greg) of Golconda, Robert Christensen (Sara) of Joliet and Richard (Tracy Marie) of Reddick; his grandchildren, Katelyn Eddington (Bradley Swank) of Champaign Il, Allyson of Golconda, Adriene Eddington of Golconda and Logan Christensen of Joliet; his brother Theodore Christensen of Gardner; and his siblings-in-law, Wanda Thompson of Scarbro, WV, Jean Tyree of Akron Ohio, Sandra Hall of Kingston, WV., Nick Hall (Joyce) of Scarbro, WV. and Joey Hall of Scarbro, WV.. He is also survived by 24 nieces & nephews, numerous great nieces & nephews, cousins, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Marion VA Hospice Organization, the Pope County Golden Circle, or the Reddick Fire Fund.
