He was predeceased by: his parents, Olen Dee and Emma Mary Bell Chism (Snow); and his brother Robert Lynn Chism. He is survived by: his wife Charlene Power; his children, Michael D. Chism, Jr. (Terri) of Metamora, Jamie P. McDougall of Pekin, Jennifer M. Chism of Pekin and Soneck of Pekin; his stepdaughters, Bridget Whitten-Shane of Peoria and Tara Roberts (Matt) of Peoria; his grandchildren, Isaiah D. Chism of Metamora, Claire D. Chism of Metamora, Elijah M. Chism of Metamora, Kathleen E. McDougall of Pekin, Molly M. McDougall of Pekin, Izabella V. Alvis of Pekin, Jeremy A. Backus, Jr. (Baylee) of Macomb and Solomon O. Soncek of Pekin; his stepgrandchildren, Justin Mills of Peoria, Hannah Shane of Peoria and Zachary Shane of Peoria; and his brother Jack W. Chism (Elizabeth) of Lafayette, Indiana.. He is also survived by three great-grandchildren.
