He was predeceased by: his parents, Harlan H. Durst and Thelma Durst (Haedicke); and his siblings, Howard Durst, Rosie Upole and Clifford Durst.
He is survived by: his children, Lowell Durst, Jr. (Nicole) of Sioux Falls, SD and Kathy Durbin (Patrick) of Henry, IL; his grandchildren, Felicia Finch (Andy), Terry Durst, Paul Hawn, Thomas Hawn (Christina) and Nicole Hawn; and his siblings, Larry Durst (Cindy), Emerson Durst (Tammy), Albert Durst (Denise), Johnny Durst (Deana), Carl Durst (Karin), Jim Durst, Laura Urban, Donna Durst and Bonnie Durst. He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
