She was predeceased by: her father John "Jack" Burkley (Rubin); and her stepfather Carles "Mel" Melvin. She is survived by: her husband Alan Martino; her stepsons, Christopher Logsdon, Mario Martino and Michael Martino; her mother Jean Melvin; her siblings, John Burkley (Angie) and Jana Irvin; her stepmother Kathy Burkley-Miller (Roger); her mother-in-law Diana Martino; her half-sister Christine Gordon (Michael); her stepsiblings, Andri Ryan (Mark), David Melvin (Merci), Deanna Bruce (Brett) and Greg Melvin (Stacie); and her pet Bella. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Illinois Cancer Care or St. Jude Children's Hospital.
