He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Herman Theissen and Viola Theissen (Crawford); his former spouse Shirley Crowe; his wife Mildred "Millie" Shadowens Bentley; his sister Florence Wahl; his children, Bennett Theissen of Los Angeles, Cali, Kevin Theissen (Gail) of Milwaukee, Wisc, Jeffry Theissen (Jeanene) of East Peoria and Becky Miller of Roselle, Ill.; and his stepchildren, Kay Young (Steve) of East Peoria, Fay Gillman (Rick) of Peoria, May Doerr (Stephen) of Germantown Hills and Amanda Rogy (James) of Marquette Heights. He was also cherished by four grandchildren; one great grandchild; eight step-grandchildren; and 16 step-great grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Eastside Bible Church or St. Jude Children's Hospital.
