He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Funk and Rose Funk (Blunier); his wife LouAnn Herman; and his sisters, Shirley Funk, Sarah Diggle and Edith Freed.
He is survived by: his children, Timothy Funk (Deb) of Peoria, Mary Leigh Funk (Nola Norton) and Fredrick Funk (Diane) of Morton; and his grandchildren, Dustin Funk (Erin), Dr. Ryan Funk (Alyssa), Aaron Funk (Kendra), Isaac Funk (Elise), Heather Plattner (Kyle), Adam Funk (Lindsay), Dr. Alex Funk (Michaela) and Holly Moser (Caleb). He is also survived by 24 great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the Peoria Apostolic Skylines Senior Living and Nursing Home or Apostolic Christian Restmor in Morton.
