He was predeceased by: his parents, Mason Leonard and Madeline Leonard (Hoffmann); his son Wallace Leonard; his siblings, Richard, Gerald, Jim Leonard and Linda "Lin" Van Loon; and his son-in-law Wayne Christopher.

He is survived by: his former wife Donna Perkins; his wife Eileen; his children, Kay Janecek (Rick), John Leonard (Cindy), Kristine Christopher, Candy Carmack, Terry Leonard (Monica) and Ronald Leonard; and his siblings, Betty Nerhus, Sandy Ulrich, Robert Leonard, Tom Leonard, Pat Hagloch, Dave Leonard and Mike Leonard.

Memorials may be made to St. Matthew Lutheran Church, Milan or to the family.
