She was predeceased by: her parents, William Charles and Josephine C. Hanfelder (Gascho); her former husband Charles Fitzgerald; her husband Henry "Hank" Schuessler; her son David Fitzgerald; and her siblings, Kenneth Hanfelder, Arthur Hanfelder, Robert Hanfelder, Helen Perry, Doris Stille, Margaret Hinkle and Kathryn Smith.
She is survived by: her children, Diane Kaicher (John) of Columbia, MO, Richard Fitzgerald (Helen) of Jacksonville, FL and Ron Fitzgerald of Hoyleton, IL; her grandchildren, Brandon Fitzgerald of Jacksonville, FL, Sean Fitzgerald (Heather Schirmer) of Jacksonville, FL, Michael Kaicher of Columbia, MO and Vanessa Kaicher of Oak Park, IL; and her siblings, Charles Hanfelder (Sonja) of East Alton, IL, Rita Sutton of South Roxana, IL, Joseph Hanfelder of Bethalto, IL, Gladys Abernathy of East Alton, IL and Phyllis Noble (Dale) of Wood River, IL. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
