It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Max E. Young of Dunlap, Illinois, born in Avon, Illinois, who passed away on May 4, 2021, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Alva Young and Vola Hillyer (Gillette); his wife Gladys Barrett; his daughters, Barbara Ashcraft of Princeville and Brenda Slyman (Joseph) of Elmwood; his grandchildren, Chelcee Owens (Justin), Sarah Slyman and Michael Slyman; his great grandchildren, Austin and Gavin Owens; his half-sister Martha Hillyer of Carthage; his son Michael Young; and his brother Robert Young.
