She was predeceased by: her parents, Clinton McIntyre and Nellie Simmons McIntyre; and her siblings, Bill, Don, Fonis, Wallace, Larry, Barb and Virginia.

She is survived by: her husband Steven Dowdell; and her children, CJ Smith (Marie), Chad Smith, Brett Smith (Angie), Chris Dowdell (Leslie) and Brad Dowdell (Tammy). She is also survived by 18 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and beloved extended family members and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital or to Easter Seals.
