He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Leo A. Stengel and Cressie Stengel (Raupp); his wife Frances Delahunty of Decatur; his children, Susan Stengel (Charlie Coleman) of Lynchburg, Phillip Stengel (Donni) of Springfield, Ann Stengel of Chicago and Carol Shoemaker (Gene) of Waukesha; and his brothers, John Stengel (Lyn) of Decatur and Leo Stengel. He was also cherished by five grandchildren and one great grandchild.
