She was predeceased by: her parents, Bernard K Burrus and Layla Burrus (Pope); her former husband Ted Geer; her husband Lester; her daughter Beckie Housh; her son-in-law Steve Howerton; and her brother Herb Burrus.

She is survived by: her daughters, Cindie Howerton of Decatur, Cay Backstein (Dickie) of Decatur and Tedra Witt (Mike) of Quincy; her son-in-law Chuck Housh; and her grandchildren, Tammy Durbin (Tim), Scott Howerton (Cheryl), Michelle Gottman, Brandon Housh (Kathy), Micki Backstein, Ryan Witt (Andrea) and Autumn Endrizzi (Josh). She is also survived by twelve great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.
