She was predeceased by: her parents, Ross E. Sylvester and Nellie P. Roland Sylvester; her husband Horace Clay Dean; and her sons, Darrell Dean and James David Dean.
She is survived by: her children, Constance Dean Mudd (Ralph) of Jacksonville, Janice Dean Willmore (Ronald) of Clayton and Henry C. Dean of Moweaqua; and her brother Dan Sylvester. She is also survived by five grandchildren; six great grandchildren.
