She was predeceased by: her parents, Niland Dean and Velma June Stivers (Rhoades); her sister Sandra Potter; her sister-in-law Candy Stivers; and her niece Crystal Amman.

She is survived by: her husband Lavern Downen of Decatur; her children, Craig M. Downen, Kimberly Kramer (Craig) and Amanda Wimmer (James); her grandchildren, Kimberly Broshous (Russ), Zach Broshous Cain Downen, Hannah Wimmer, Corbin Downen, Jack Kramer, Matthew Wimmer, Lainey Kramer, Ryan Kramer and Noah Wimmer; and her siblings, Frederick Stivers (Cheryl), Paul Stivers (Gail), Wayne Stivers (Tam), Bonnie Amman (Bob) and Esther Krein (Mark). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
