It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joan Nelson of Decatur, Illinois, who passed away on March 25, 2021, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Joan Nelson to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James F. Ludwick and Cora Geneva Ludwick (Lockhart); her husband Robert W. Nelson; and her siblings, Marjorie and James.
She is survived by: her children, Robert L. Nelson (Janey), Carol Milligan (John) of Decatur and Gail Hanson (Robert).
The family would like to thank the staff at Randall Residence of Decatur for their care and compassion to Joan and her family, and for their perseverance and dedication to the residents during the pandemic.
