With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James A. Slaviero of Decatur, Illinois, born in Chicago, Illinois, who passed away on October 10, 2020 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Emil Slaviero and Christine Slaviero (Johnson). He is survived by: his wife Janet Wright; his daughter Diana Slaviero (Brian Murphy); his brother-in-law Kevin Wright (Debbie) of Mt. Vernon, Illinois; and his nephews, Jeffrey Wright (Kelsey) and Michael Wright (Abbey).

Due to concerns related to the COVID-19 pandemic, the family regrets there will be no memorial service or visitation.

Memorials may be made to Cancer Care Specialists of Illinois, Mt. Zion United Methodist Church, or doner's choice.
