He was predeceased by: his parents, Hile Jackson and Ada Jackson (Springfield); and his sister Glenda Jackson. He is survived by: his son Larry Hopson (April); his grandchildren, Jarel Hopson, Dominick Hopson, Charmaine Hopson, Tryman Hopson and Adrian Hopson; and his siblings, James Jackson, Clarence Jackson, Robert Jackson, Ada Jackson and Barbara Chism (James). He is also survived by six great-grandchildren.

“Hile and I were friends, we met at the VA. We took walks together, ate lunch and talked a lot. He loved to go for rides down the hall, he love to talk to people. He never knew a stranger. He enjoyed going outside even in the cold for a quick breathe of fresh air. He will be truly missed. Woohoo Big Daddy fly high and Godspeed. Now you can have that cigarette.
