It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Claire Reid (Decatur, Illinois), born in Brooklyn, New York, who passed away on April 6, 2019, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Frederick Bessau and Josephine Mahr Bessau; and her sons, Kenny Orr and Russell Orr. She is survived by: her husband Dudley S. Reid; her children, Lorraine Laney (Steve) of New Orleans, Louisiana, Bonnie Hord (David) of Maryville, Indiana, Jeffrey Orr (Debbie) of Decatur, Carl Reid (Brooke) of Bloomington and Paul Reid (Angela) of Clinton; and her sisters, Betty Ann Gerard (Jake) of Rockford and Josephine Gimberling of Delaware. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren.
