Carolene June Reed Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Carolene June Reed of Decatur, Illinois, born in DeLand, Illinois, who passed away on February 15, 2021 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Anderson and Fern Anderson (Chaney); her former husband William Leroy Jacobs; and her husband Richard Reed. She is survived by: her children, Carolyn Bracelin of Ruskin, FL, Marjorie Johns (Mike) of Highland, AR, Steven Jacobs (Debbie) of Rochester, IL and David Jacobs (Debbi) of Elwin, IL; and her sister Ruth Ann Foster of Tolono, IL. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the Temple Baptist Church.

“We are so sorry for all of our loss. We loved June and enjoyed her cheerfulness at all times even when she was very ill. She was always a hard worker and she took care of many loved ones as they needed her from caring for and practically raising grandchildren to caring for her two husbands, parents, sister and still having time to enjoy company and visiting relatives and having her own friends to visit. We cousins will miss her terribly.”
