She was predeceased by: her father Edward Bernier; her husband Joseph Komes; her son Scott Komes; and her siblings, Carol, Mike and Russ.

She is survived by: her children, Joe Komes (Gina), Jeff Komes, Jamie Komes, Jay Komes (Cindy) and Julie Komes-McGarry (Dan); her grandchildren, Alex, Nick, Brandon, Kelly, Cameron, Alicia and Jenna; her great grandchildren, Keller, Avery, Zander and Harrison; and her sisters, Eileen and Shirley.
